"Take the chance to compete in this fantastic competition where you get the opportunity to really challenge yourself"

How does it work?

If you feel interested in competing, you should definitely do it! To be able to compete in the competition you have to gather a team of four members. Here it can be good to think strategically and gather a team where you have a good group dynamic and where maybe the different team members have different skills/majors and so on. After that, there will be a selection where several teams at each University get the chance to compete against each other in case solving during one day. In the end of the day there will be a winner who gets the honor to represent its home university in the National Competition.

The local competition will be arranged at the 7th of November at EHL in collaboration with KPMG.

The jurys motivation was the following: “For a thorough analysis, a persuasive presentation through a well balanced and well motivated team, a creative out-of-the-box solution, defended to the bitter end by the perhaps less consultancy convincingly phrase, “it’s our way or the highway”, the winner of this year’s KPMG Case Competition is team “In Case of Consulting” from Lund.”

About Hanna and her thoughts:

One of the major things why I applied to Lund University in the first place was the active student life. I have always loved getting involved in projects, working in teams and meeting new people. I knew right after my week as a novice that the union was something I wanted to know more about. All the opportunities there are to learn and build connections, as well as have a great time and meet friends for a lifetime. During my first semester I had the opportunity to be a staffer at the KICC 2017. I was struck by the incredibly professionalism and motivation that I saw both in the committee, KPMG and from the contestants. My experience from KICC 2017 motivated me to be the project leader of KICC 2018 and apply my ideas and develop the concept.

What to expect of KICC 2018:

As the new project leader of KPMG International Case Competition I will work for a united concept as well as marketing. I want more students than ever to be a part of KICC, as audience, staffer or contestant. Students will not only get the chance to solve cases at one of the biggest case competitions in the world, but feel like a part of a bigger social community. We will put major focus into all activities involved by working closely with KPMG and keeping the students interests in mind. I want case solving to be seen as an opportunity to learn rather than something intimidating. With a close and motivated committee I am sure that we can develop KICC even more and make it a KICC-ass project. This I something you do not want to miss!
