Master Committee

The Master Committee arranges events aimed at Master’s students at LUSEM. Our largest event is the annual Graduation Gala!

"Our goal is to provide Master’s students at LUSEM with social events and to inform about other activities within LundaEkonomerna aimed at Master’s students"

What is  Master Committee and what do we do?
Master Committee consists of seven committee members that  plan and host social events throughout the school year aimed at master’s students at LUSEM. Master Committee arranges the following events during the year:

Monthly After School’s at various student nations. Get to know  your class mates outside of school and seize the opportunity to mingle with other master’s students at LUSEM and widen your network.

Our Halloween Masquerade Ball, which this year took place at Göteborgs Nation, strategically held after the first 15 credits are finished to make everyone having the time to attend.

Our February sitting, also known as our Themed Sitting, takes place on the 18th of February at Lund’s Nation. Here we aim to create an opportunity to meet up with your classmates after the winter holidays.

Our largest event GRADUATION GALA will be held to celebrate our graduation. This will be a dinner and after party in the Great Hall of the AF building (AF-borgen). This year’s Graduation Gala will be held May 27 so save the date! To read more about the Graduation Gala, click on the Graduation Gala tab above.

Class representatives:
Beyond the committee members, Master Committee have one class representative from each master’s program. The class representatives help the Master Committee to reach the master’s students with information about events. The class representatives forward questions and tips from their classmates to Master Committee for Master Committee to answer or take further to other committees within LundaEkonomerna. This makes a two-way communication channel between the master’s students and LundaEkonomerna.

Furthermore, the class representatives also helps other committees within LundaEkonomerna to get in touch with master’s students when they have an event aimed at Master’s students.

Let's celebrate one last time together!

When, where and how: Graduation Gala will be held in the Great Hall of the AF building (AF Borgen). It will be a three-course dinner followed by a party with two dance floors. More details will come and a Facebook event will be up in February 2017!

Dress code: The dress code for the evening is ‘Black tie optional’ and we have included a text here from the Internet that explains further what means with this (if anyone is unsure):

”It is quite common for ‘Black Tie Optional’ or ‘Black Tie Creative’ to be requested nowadays, in which case a modern Tuxedo, fashionable jacket, dark suit for him or cocktail dress for her would be suitable.”

What I value most with being Project Leader of the Master Committee is getting to know a lot of you master’s students at LUSEM, both during the Master Committee’s own events and in school. Furthermore, it is really exciting to connect the master’s students with LundaEkonomerna and with each other through LundaEkonomerna. We want to accomplish this by hosting our own events and through helping other committees within the organisation to reach out to the master’s students.

I am looking forward to meet as many master’s students as possible at our After Schools, parties and other events during the year of 2016/2017 which I, together with my fantastic committee members, are hosting.

Most of all I look forward to the Graduation Gala, which will be held  in the grand hall of the AF building on the 27th if May. But first, lets have an amazing year together!
