"Our goal is to provide Master’s students at LUSEM with social events and to inform about other activities within LundaEkonomerna aimed at Master’s students"
What is Master Committee and what do we do?
Master Committee consists of six committee members that plan and host social events throughout the school year aimed at Master’s students at LUSEM. The Master Committee arranges the following events during the year:
Monthly After School’s at various student nations. Get to know your classmates outside of school and seize the opportunity to mingle with other Master’s students at LUSEM to widen your network.
Our Master’s Welcome Sittning takes place on the 7th September, which gives all new Master’s students the perfect chance to celebrate the start of their studies in Lund together with their fellow classmates.
Our Lucia Sittning will take place on the 13th December. It is a lovely opportunity for students to celebrate this beloved Swedish holiday with your fellow Master´s students before the Christmas break.
Our Valentines sitting will be of course held on the 14th February. Here we aimed to create an occasion to not only catch up with your friends and classmates after the winter holidays but maybe even find the love of your life!
Our largest event, the GRADUATION GALA will be held on the 1st June 2019 to celebrate our graduation. This will be a dinner followed by an After party in the Great Hall of the AF building (AF-borgen). To read more about the Graduation Gala, click on the Graduation Gala tab above.
Beyond the committee members, Master Committee have one class representative from each master’s program. The class representatives help the Master Committee to reach the master’s students with information about events.
Furthermore, the class representatives also helps other committees within LundaEkonomerna to get in touch with Master’s students when they have an event aimed at Master’s students.
Let's celebrate one last time together!

Words from the Project Leader
Emma is a Master's student at LUSEM and also the Project Leader of the Master Committee.See available positions
Three years ago I decided to start my university studies and began to think of where I should go. Growing up with a dad who spent many years in Lund, I had already heard all the rumors about the city having one of Sweden´s best universities and a very rich student life. Therefore, my choice wasn´t very hard to make. I wanted to make my university years to be more than just about studying and I quickly decided to join Lundaekonomerna; the student union that at my first day of school showed me that they offered something for everyone. This is a decision I have never regretted since it has given me some of my best friends, a great network and loads of joyful and memorable moments that have enriched my student life.
After three years of bachelor studies I wasn’t ready to leave Lund yet, and therefore I decided to stay in Lund to do my master. To keep adding friends to my network and memorable moments from the student life I decided to apply for the position as Project Leader for the Master Committee. Just because you start studying a master it doesn´t have to mean that your time with a great student life is over. My aim is to make this upcoming year as a master student just as great as my previous years in Lund have been and I hope to let both new and old students in Lund feel the same joy as I have felt!
I am truly looking forward to meeting as many Master´s students as possible at after schools, parties and other events which I, together with my amazing committee, will host throughout the academic year 2018/2019. Let´s have a fantastic year together!
