Mentoring Project: LEGG

Hi there!

One of the freshest contributions among LundaEkonomerna's projects, the Mentoring Project, aims at inspiring as well as getting inspired. On the one hand by packaging and passing on experiences and drive of the EHL-participants to  inquisitive high school students. On the other hand, by increasing the awarness of LundaEkonomerna among high school students'  by informal mingle-like activities and the possibility of e-mailing questions.

During the first edition of the Mentoring Project, the fall of 2010, the focus has been on establishing a collaboration with the high school Polhemsskolan in Lund. Third year students, enrolling the program of 'Diplomerade Gymnasieekonomer' (Diplomaed Economy and Business programme), have been offered the chance of meeting LundaEkonomer. Not only by being warmly welcome to e-mail questions or ideas to mentor@lundaekonomerna.se, but also by attending KPMG International Case Competition, a lunch with KPMG and Stand Up shows at Klubb Prick Prick at Mejeriet. Continuous updates via Facebook is ofcourse an additional source of network building and contact.

The Mentoring Project: LEGG is in process of planning newactivities for 2011 in order to increase inspirational contact between students at LUSEM and high school students. For next year's edition, 2011-2012, a collaboration with the brilliant entrepreneurship competition 'Pioneer of the Year' is at a planning stage.
