We are LundaEkonomerna, the Student Union of Lund University School of Economics and Management, LUSEM. We focus on enhancing the quality of your [Education] as well as providing a good [Social] life and future [Career] for all students at LUSEM.
Therefore, LundaEkonomerna is all about you and your needs as a student at LUSEM. What we are doing, more concretely, is best described from the student’s perspective. Upon arrival, for instance, you might not know very many people and how to start getting to know your classmates. For that reason, the social committees of LundaEkonomerna organize [social] events such as the ‘novice days’ and ‘Hälsningsgillet’ where students get a taste of the Lund student life right away. At a certain point, your studies begin and LundaEkonomerna actively works to make your [Education] as good and as substantial as possible. Consequently, we can't stress enough how important it is for you to come directly to us whenever you feel that you aren't satisfied with your education and tell us what can be improved.
After the twenty years or more of education you’ve completed, you’ll likely gain interest in getting a job. This next step in your life is the reason for our annual [Career] fair, the eee-days. Although you don’t know yet exactly what your dream job is, the many companies attending the two-day fair will assuredly provide you with a lot of inspiration and ideas about where to look. Moreover, there are another five committees within the organization of LundaEkonomerna that work for you to get in contact with interesting companies. We find it important to help students meet a variety of representatives of the industry, preferably at an early state while still completing your education.
By attending different types of organized events you will gain valuable insights into your opportunities and future career possibilities. However, there is yet another dimension of LundaEkonomerna for you as a student: the excellent opportunity to take an active part in creating, organizing and implementing these various activities. With a breadth of committees, projects and activities, all sorted under the categories of [Career], [Education] and [Social], we want to make sure that you find something that suits your particular in terest. Besides learning a great deal from leading a committee or project, it should be mentioned that your future employer will value such engagement, sometimes even more highly than top grades!
