The Alumni Group project started in the fall of 2009 with the aim of bridging the gap between the student life and the professional life. It is a venue for those who have completed or are about to complete their studies at Lund University. Our alumni network consists of a large number of alumni in different positions that can offer you a unique network, and thus become one of your most important career tools.

The more members, the better the network! Join our network today and take advantage of a partnership that benefits all.

Surf your way to ehl.lu.se/alumni (Swedish) or lusem.lu.se/alumni (English), follow the instructions and join the group called LundaEkonomerna.

Be sure to check out our blog where we publish articles, interviews and exciting insights to what the life is like after graduation. The blog publishes articles in both Swedish and English.

You can find the blog at: alumnigruppen.wordpress.com

What is The Alumni Group all about? Below you can read about our activities and and our endeavour to enrich both the student and alumni life!

- We bridge the gap between the student life and the professional life -

Alumni for a day

The project “alumni for a day” aims at creating a better understanding forstudents about how “a normal day at the office” looks like for an alumni. Through our program you will be able to follow a former economy student at his or her workplace under relaxed conditions to see what the corporate life is all about. This is a perfect opportunity for you if you are unsure about what you want to do in the future, or if you just want to make a really good impression on one of our partner companies.

Mingles and seminars

Every now and then we host seminars and mingles. The seminars can be about currents affairs as well as trade and industry and are mainly targeted at alumni and master students. Introductory-level students who are interested in our events are of course welcome as well.

Dedicated blog

Through our dedicated alumni blog we offer interviews and unique insights to the alumni life. In our articles we bring up questions regarding LUSEM, post events and news from LundaEkonomerna and reflect upon the future expectations of our students. Read our interviews about our interesting profiles and see what they think about their respective fields, their experience as professionals and their best tips for those of you who are still studying.

Networking and communications

Need to get a hold of someone? With our databases, contacts and vast network of experienced professionals we can help you in your endeavors. Whether you want to talk to someone who can hold a lecture or seminar, or if you are looking for expert opinions on your essay, we are here to help.

Guidance

What happens after you graduate? We certainly don’t have all the answers, but we know a thing or two about the lives of alumni. Even if we ourselves haven’t graduated yet, we know lots of people who have. You might want to know how one would go about acquiring an American working visa, what to do or say at an interview in Hong Kong, how to get in touch with students from Lund while in London, or see what kind of salary you could expect from your employer in Stockholm.

- We create value for students, alumni and professionals -

Expanding your network

Get a hold of people with branch expertise in certain fields through our alumnicoordinator. Connect with old friends and plan reunions together, create new business opportunities or see what other people from Lund are up to these days. Our network helps you get the most out of your education – even after you are done!

Guest lectures

Would you like to hear what others have to say about the things you are interested in? Or perhaps just broaden your own perspective with completely new insights? Then you are more than welcome to join our guest lectures! Perhaps you would even like to share something that you feel passionate about? We give you the possibility to get your ideas heard.

Special privileges for exclusive events

As alumni of LUSEM and a member of AlumniNet you are sometimes entitled to certain privileges such as a request (or invite) to Vinterbalen and other events. Such benefits are often just given to high-ranked officials within the community, but with our close partnerships to different projects we can offer our members benefits much sought after by others.
