Post description, Communicator for LundaEkonomerna
Communicator is a new post for 2012, replacing the previous post Head of Marketing in the board.
Describe the activity and what are the main lines of work?
The communicator will be responsible for LundaEkonomernas communications and marketing, both internally and externally. You will be responsible for strategically planning where and when we market ourselves, both to our members and to external stakeholders. You will be a support and a resource for the various committees when they design their marketing.
You will be responsible for our communication channels, such as the website, Facebook, Twitter, our newsletter and our paper, NÃ¥diga Lundtan. You will also be responsible for the marketing group.
As a communicator, you are also a part of LundaEkonomernas board and work strategically with the union's development. You will be involved in taking both small and big decisions about the union, and represent LundaEkonomerna in different contexts.
Since the post as a communicator is brand new, you will be able to influence what you do on this post and how to organize the work.
Timeframe: How much time do you put down every week? More or less on some weeks?
The item is a full time job for a year. You will need to take a break from your studies and are expected to be available on Skånis during the daytime. You will also represent LundaEkonomerna on different events, about 1-2 nights a week.
What do you believe are the main personal characteristics needed for the post?
You have a keen interest in communications and marketing, and is interested in how the union can reach out to their members with our information.
Since you will be part of LundaEkonomernas board, it is an advantage if you have been involved in the union before, but it is not required. You should also have an interest in the union's strategic development.
It is also a plus if you're comfortable working with programs like Photoshop and Indesign, and have an eye for graphics and marketing. Being creative and having ideas about how to develop our marketing is a also big plus!
