What is the Buddy Program?

The Buddy Program gives exchange students the chance to know Swedish and Lund student culture guided by its local students! We form groups of 10 exchange students and two Buddies, who will regularly meet and explore Lund by learning to fika, partying at nations, and experiencing the best student life. There will be some bigger events for all participants organized by the International Committee and some smaller ones for the Buddy groups.

What is the job of a Buddy?

As a Buddy your main job is to show exchange students around and make them feel welcome in our lovely city! You and your other Buddy will be responsible for organizing a small event for your group around 2 times per month like having a fika at Botaniska, meeting up for a beer at Ericssons, or whatever you feel would be great for your group. If you want to be a Buddy together with a friend, you can let us know in your application. The program ends at the beginning of the Christmas break.

Why should I apply to be a buddy?

Being a Buddy has a positive effect on your exchange application, which is handled by the International Office!  Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in all the Buddy Program events organized by INTC and even have access to the pre-sale tickets for our Midsommar-in-November sittning! Also, it’s a great way to have a lot of fun and meet new people!

Applications close September 24th!
