To bring the students closer to the corporate world during relaxed conditions.

Corporate Challenge is an active and unorthodox career fair that is arranged by LundaEkonomerna in early fall. The idea behind the event is that students are matched with their dream-companies to meet and get to know each other under more relaxed conditions. During one day the students and the company representatives compete side by side in teams for fun and exciting activities around in Lund.

Through a series of challenges and competitions the students gets to know their companies and vice-versa creating a strong bond for the future. With activities ranging from Segway races, to archery tag and quizzing  the day is always filled with laughter and it is a great way to broaden the network not only between companies and students but also in between the members of every group.

The day ends with a banquet and a fabulous party where the winner receives the prestigious first price and the all the partipants get the chance to have a great night with a lot of new found friends.

What to think about when applying:

  • Read up on the participating companies.
    You will get to choose your top three companies that you would like to compete with. So take your time to read through at least the information about them on this website so you know who you want to be with, and most importantly, why.
  • Write a personal cover letter
    This will be sent to the company you have been teamed up with if they request so. We can unfortunately not guarantee that you will end up with your first choice. Hence, you should focus your cover letter more towards you, your strengths, and how you are as a person rather than towards a specific company.
  • Please keep in mind
    The motivation in the application is mainly for us, the Project Leaders, to help in the selection process so focus this more towards Corporate Challenge and why YOU are good fit for the event.

Who is Jacob Lindgren?

I’m a passionate Lundaekonom who started the BsC program in Business and Economics here at LUSEM last fall. I quickly realised how great the student life here in Lund can be, and was hooked by the unity within the Lundaekonomerna already during the novice week. One of my first involvements in the union was as a staffer during last year’s Corporate Challenge, and the great experience made me realise that I wanted to be a part of CC in 2019 as well!

How do you see Corporate Challenge?

The concept is truly unique and special! You get first hand contact with some of the biggest companies within the business sector in Sweden, and get to do so under relaxed conditions. It is one of the year’s most anticipated events and both students and companies always have a lot of fun during the day. Last year, the activities featured everything from archery tag and escape rooms, to a quiz and ping-pong varieties. It’s safe to say that there is something for everyone!
