Samday provides an amazing opportunity for those who study Information Systems here at LUSEM, allowing companies and students to interact during an action-packed day. Our aim is to provide students with invaluable experience and knowledge, as well as enhance career prospects.
What is Samday?
Samday is the career event for Informatics Students, the only one that is exclusive for those who study Information Systems. The event takes place during a day at the end of March where students and companies get the chance to meet and interact with each other in a relaxed environment.
The day consists of case-solving and mingling, with a few small breaks to relax and get some new energy. It all ends with a banquet and afterparty in the evening, where the tempo goes down and you can unwind after all of the daytime activities. It will be a great ending to a great event!
What is our goal?
The committee itself consists of a group of students who work continuously throughout the year in order to create an event that everyone will want to attend. We want to create an event which all Information Students get a chance to participate in, and enjoy.
As the event combines business with pleasure, we will attempt to incorporate all aspects of professionalism while keeping it relaxed and fun for all parties involved.
Why should you apply?
The event provides an opportunity for students to connect with companies through close interaction, during the events, as well as the banquet. As a participant you will get the chance to meet company representatives and ask them all questions between heaven and earth. You will also participate in case-solving, where you will develop your skills and learn analytical thinking, while having fun at the same time.

A word from our Project Leader
Marta Brejwo is the Project Leader of Samday 2019, and together with her committee they are developing the new and exciting Samday concept.See available positions
Who is Marta Brejwo?
I am a third-term student within the Bachelor of Business & Economics programme who have just recently started being active within the union. I was a part of Corporate Challenge 2018 and have since then started seeing the possibilities that the union provides, which is why I applied to be a project leader for Samday.
As I am not an Information Systems student I believe that I can provide new ideas to the project and shed some light on what an amazing opportunity it is to be a part of it in any way; whether it is as a committee member, staffer or participant.
What to expect from this year’s Samday
There is a lot of potential to make this event the best it could be this year! We will be incorporating company meetings and mingling while maintaining the focus on case solving. If you want to get out there and show yourselves to what could possibly be your future employers, this is your chance to do it in a relaxed environment. I highly encourage all Information Systems students to apply and get the chance to make valuable connections with various companies, while having a great time.
