About the Novice Committee

The Novice Committee creates an unforgettable introduction to student life by planning and delivering LUSEM’s Novice Weeks, welcoming new students into the community each semester.

About the Role as Event Coordinator in the Novice Committee

As an Event Coordinator in the Novice Committee, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the major social events connected to the Novice Week.

Your responsibilities include organizing the Friday event during the Novice Week and the LE Party following the project. This includes coordinating logistics, booking entertainment and Toastmasters, communicating with external partners, and collaborating with the Sexmästeri and the rest of the committee.

We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and comfortable handling multiple tasks simultaneously. You should enjoy event planning, coordination, and creating memorable social experiences for students.

The workload varies depending on planning periods and upcoming events throughout the project, though the expected time commitment is around 8–10 hours per week.  Please note that Swedish is not a requirement for this role, but fluency in English is necessary.

By taking on this role, you will gain valuable experience in event management, project coordination, and teamwork while becoming part of the Novice Committee and contributing to some of the largest social events at LundaEkonomerna.
