About being an Adept for WILMA

Being a part of our mentorship program gives you the invaluable opportunity to get an experienced female mentor to support and guide you, along with an inspiring network of professionals. Being an adept means that you are a driven student who understands the value of networking and seizes the opportunity to exchange ideas with someone successful within the working life. All genders are welcome to apply!

As a WILMA adept, you will:
– Get support from your mentor on concerns about your future career and opportunities.
– Gain an opportunity for personal development through discussion and reflection.
– Create new contacts within the network of both students and experienced professionals.

How does it work?

First of all, all students at LUSEM can apply to be an adept, no matter what semester you’re in or whether you have any prior knowledge or experience. The mentorship begins with your application to become an adept. By filling out the application form, you specify what you want to get out of your mentorship. The next step is up to us to match you with one of our fantastic mentors. We take all your applications into consideration and try to make the best matches possible. You’ll also be matched with a co-adept giving you the opportunity to expand your network! You’re a part of the mentorship program preferably during a year, exceptions can be made if you have an exchange semester planned. You will meet your mentor 2-3 times per semester, and it’s up to you to make the most out of your mentorship. Moreover, by attending our events you will also get the chance to meet and connect with other mentors participating in the program! Every semester we have a limited number of mentors, therefore we can’t guarantee a spot in the mentorship program.
