Are you a planner at heart and love to be where things happen? Do you want to contribute to improving the education for yourself and your fellow students while developing your skills in event coordination, multitasking and management? Then being our Event Coordinator is the role for you!
As an Event Coordinator you will plan and be the center of the committee’s different events, the biggest one being the Speak Up Days where we for a whole week have competitions with great prizes in Ljusgården. The events work as a way for the committee to spread the knowledge of what the Education Committee does and to gather the opinions of the students. Besides our large external events you will also be responsible for the committee´s internal events. For this position it is important that you are organized, structured and able to overview situations.
The Education Committee’s main task is educational surveillance. Through the Speak Up Days, collaboration with class representatives and by gathering opinions of LUSEM students, we make sure that the students’ opinions are heard at department meetings with the school.
As an active member, you will be a part of running the general work of the Education Committee while also planning and executing the work of the specific team in which you will be working. During each semester we host our biggest event; Speak Up Days where we for a whole week gather the opinions of the students at the school while having a blast in ljusgården with competitions and games with great prizes! We also value spending time with each other and going on fun committee related events – it’s much more than just the committee work!
While having a coordinator role you will also have a representative role. The committee consists of representatives in the various departments and councils at LUSEM. As a representative, you will have a seat on the board of the department/council that you represent, where you get the opportunity to discuss and present the students’ perspectives regarding the education.
