Did you know that more than half of all Swedish companies are owned by family families? Or that family businesses are the biggest employer in the private sector?

Welcome to listen to Annelie Karlsson, executive director and founding board member of Family Business Network Sweden. From earning a doctorate at Stockholm School of Economics and experience as a facilitator to international, multi generational owner families, Annelie has many insights to share.

You will listen to how family businesses have become the backbone of our society, and that many of them have grown to be Sweden’s largest companies. You will learn how they stabilize the economic cyclicality and protect Sweden’s culture of entrepreneurship, competitiveness and independence. You will also hear how, in contrast to other ownership forms, private ownership generates personal responsibility over the business’ impacts and a perspective of generations rather than quarters.
