LundaEkonomerna Student Union cares about you and respects your privacy and your right to control your personal data. Our guiding principles are simple: we will openly inform you about which personal data we collect and why.

This Privacy Policy describes:

• Which personal data we collect;
• The purposes for which it is processed;
• How you can control your personal data; and
• How to contact us.

This Privacy Policy applies when you share personal data with LundaEkonomerna, for example when registering for events, applying for open positions, or providing information about an issue.

LundaEkonomerna is responsible for ensuring that personal data is processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable legislation.

2. Collection of Personal Data

LundaEkonomerna collects and registers personal data in connection with, for example:

• Registration for our events;
• Applications for open positions within the Union
• Contact with us through email, telephone, our website, or social media; and
• Registration for email subscriptions.

By accepting this Privacy Policy, you agree that the personal data you enter into forms, such as your name, telephone number, and email address, may be used for marketing relating to the services for which you provided the information.

The personal data may also be used to maintain internal statistics concerning participation in our events and diversity among applicants for positions.

3. How We Use Collected Information

LundaEkonomerna processes personal data primarily for the purposes listed below and for any additional purposes stated when the data is collected:

• To fulfil orders for services through platforms provided by LundaEkonomerna;
• To provide good service, including managing requests, correcting inaccurate information, and sending requested information such as newsletters;
• To store and analyse information concerning ordered services;
• To administer our systems and compile statistics concerning the behaviour and patterns of our users at an aggregated level that does not identify individuals;
• To conduct analysis, segmentation, or profiling for the development of targeted offers and services;
• To send information and promotional material through SMS, email, applications, push notifications, social media, or other digital communication channels when you have an active relationship with us;
• To contact you through applications, SMS, email, or post regarding other offers, promotions, or services that we believe may interest you; and

LundaEkonomerna may share personal data with organisations that process data on our behalf to enable us to provide our services. This may include:

• Administration of licences or permissions;
• Bookings with third parties;
• Distribution services; and
• Other services required to maintain and apply our terms of use.

All personal data shall be handled with a high level of security and confidentiality.

By submitting personal data to LundaEkonomerna, you permit the Union to register and store information about the service purchased and to process the specified personal data for the stated purposes.

LundaEkonomerna bases its processing of personal data on:

• The performance of a contract;
• Legitimate interests; or
• Consent.

If LundaEkonomerna relies on legitimate interests as its legal basis, the personal data will only be processed for the purposes stated above.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us using the contact details provided in Section 9.

Personal data shall not be retained for longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. LundaEkonomerna will store personal data for a maximum of two years unless longer retention is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which the data was collected.

Personal data will be erased when it is no longer relevant or necessary for analysis, direct marketing, or the other purposes for which it was collected. Certain information may be retained for a longer period when required by law.

All personal data shall be handled with a high level of security and confidentiality.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have rights concerning your personal data and may influence which information is retained.

LundaEkonomerna will, on its own initiative or at your request, correct personal data found to be inaccurate.

You may also request that your personal data be erased or that its use be restricted by contacting us using the contact details provided in Section 9.

If you believe that LundaEkonomerna has not respected your rights, please contact the President at president@lundaekonomerna.se.

You may also file a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection.

You may stop receiving marketing communications from us at any time by selecting “unsubscribe” in an email from LundaEkonomerna. You are also welcome to contact us for assistance with unsubscribing from our communications.

7. Photographs, Video, and Audio

LundaEkonomerna publishes photographs and videos from events and other activities on its website, in newsletters, in printed material, and on social media.

Participants at our events automatically give LundaEkonomerna permission to use photographs taken at the event.

The General Data Protection Regulation requires event organisers to handle the personal data of EU citizens attending their events or working within their organisations in accordance with the GDPR. Photographs, videos, and audio recordings in which individuals can be identified may constitute personal data.

LundaEkonomerna continuously uses photographs and videos taken at our events in printed and digital media to disseminate knowledge and provide information about our organisation, events, and activities.

LundaEkonomerna only publishes harmless images of people. Images may only be published when the individuals shown cannot reasonably be expected to feel exposed, exploited, or violated based on a reasonable assessment.

When registering for and attending an event organised by LundaEkonomerna, participants automatically consent to LundaEkonomerna using photographs and videos taken during the event. Registrants must also accept LundaEkonomerna’s Privacy Policy when registering.

If a participant wishes to have a published image removed, they may contact LundaEkonomerna. The image will then be removed from online channels as far as reasonably possible.

8. Links to Other Websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or materials published by third parties. These links are provided for informational purposes only.

LundaEkonomerna has no control over the content of third-party websites or materials and is therefore not responsible for their content. LundaEkonomerna is also not responsible for any damage or loss arising from the use of these links.
